Simple Future - WILL

Now, let's learn about the simple future "WILL"


"WILL" is the auxiliary for the simple future, we use it when we want to talk about predictions, decisions or promise.

Now, let's see how to use it in simple sentences. You can see here how to write the simple sentences, and the contraction.

POSITIVE SENTENCES AND CONTRACTION



In this part we have the negative form. You can see here the contraction for the negative  form and the way to form the negative sentences.

NEGATIVE SENTENCES AND CONTRACTION



To make questions, we only have to move the positions between the subject and the auxiliary will. You can see here the question form for the positive and negative questions.

QUESTION FORM - POSITIVE / NEGATIVE



Finally, you can see the formulation. You can make any sentences using the formulation below. Accept you can do it !

EXAMPLES:


        a) The Ensenada / become / a paradise in the future

P: The Ensenada will become  a paradise in the future.
N: The Ensenada won't become a paradise in the future.
Q: Will the Ensenada  become a paradise in the future?
A: Yes, it will.
     No, it won't.

        b) Teodoro / have / a convention next winter

P: Teodoro will have a convention next winter.
N: Teodoro won't have a convention next winter.
Q: Will Teodoro have a convention next winter?
A: Yes, he will.
     No, he won't.

        c) Thatiana / draw / some anime's picture

P: Thatiana will draw some anime's picture.
N: Thatiana won't draw some anime's picture.

        g) I / go / to Canta province next year

P: I will go to Canta province next year.

Present Continuous

LET'S CONSIDER THE NEXT:



We use the present continuous or present progressive when an action is happening now, or is happening at this moment.


  • Let's see how to use the progressive:


This is the simple form, you see the singular form and the plural form below.



  • Let's consider some rules to form the present progressive:


a) Ruler one:

    When a verb finishes in "e" omit, then add "ing".
                Examples:
                                dance - dancing
                                close  - closing
                                give   -  giving
                                take   -  taking

b) Ruler two:

    When a verb finishes in any "consonant", then add "ing".
                Examples:
                                study  - studying
                                work  - working
                                drink  - drinking
                                wash  - washing
c) Ruler three:

    When a verb is "monosyllabic", double the last one letter, then add "ing".
                Examples:
                                run        -  running
                                swim     -  swimming
                                travel     -  travelling
                                stop       -  stopping 

d) Ruler four:

    When a verb finishes in "ie", change the last one letter to "y", then add "ing".
                Examples:
                                die    -  dying
                                lie     -  lying
                                tie     -  tying
                                vie    -  vying

  • How to make simple sentences in simple present continuous:


Example 1:

              Flor and Paul / sit on a bench

P: Flor and Paul are sitting on a bench.
N: Flor and Paul aren't sitting on a bench.
Q: Are Flor and Paul sitting on a bench?
A: Yes, they are.
     No, they aren't.

Example 2:

              You and me / walk by the road

P: You and me are walking by the road.
N: You and me aren't walking by the road.
Q: Are you and me walking by the road?
A: Yes, we are.
     No, we aren't.

Example 3:

              Ciara /play with candles

P: Ciara is playing with candles.
N: Ciara isn't playing with candles.
Q: Is Ciara playing with candles?
A: Yes, she is.
     No, she isn't.

Remember, the adjectives don't use articles.

Remember:
countable nouns take articles (an/a) but uncountable nouns don't take articles.
